Two major technological inventions in 21st

iPhone 7, Apple's latest flagship smartphone, with upgraded cameras, water resistance, stereo speakers and a longer battery life, released on September 8th.

Tim Cook took to the stage at the Bill Graham Civic in San Francisco and told us: “We have created the world’s most advanced smartphone – the best iPhone we have ever created. This is iPhone 7.”

Obviously Apple would say that, but we'll let you make up your own mind as you read through all the new features below - oh and the headphone jack? Yeah, that's gone.

The iPhone 7 is just as sleek as its predecessors, with the iconic rounded design returning for a third instalment with the same 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1mm frame as the iPhone 6S. It's lighter though at 138g, down from 143g on the 6S.

One of the big new talking points is its water and dust resistance, with IP67 protection bringing the new iPhone into line with the Samsung Galaxy S7 – and giving you peace of mind when you're in the bath or out in the rain.

Anyone hoping for a flush rear to the new iPhone will be disappointed though, as the iPhone 7 has a very noticeable camera bump.

That camera bump is a little bit special though. It's molded from the aluminum frame of the phone and houses the antennas – removing the ugly bands of its predecessors on the black versions. On the other colors though, the bands are still noticeable at the top and bottom of the device.

There are two new colors as well, with the glass and aluminum Jet Black joined by the matte-finish Black option – the latter option also features a black Apple logo on its rear. You'll also get the choice of silver, gold and rose gold, but there's bad news for Space Gray fans: that option is dead.

Something else Apple has built into the design of the iPhone 7 is stereo speakers, with one at the top and one at the base of the handset. That gives you louder, clearer audio, which will be great for movies and gaming.

Apple says the iPhone 7 kicks out twice the volume of the 6S, as well as having an increased dynamic range. In short, they should sound good.

TechRadar's take: Apple has refined the popular design of the iPhone 6 and 6S to create a sleeker, more modern iPhone 7 – even if the camera bump is larger.

However, for apple fans, they feel a little disappointed.

Wang Wanli, a 26-year-old sales manager in Beijing, has been thinking about upgrading his iPhone 6, which he bought two years ago. To his disappointment, however, Apple's latest product rollout on Thursday morning fell short of his expectations.

He said he had found no big improvement on the iPhone 7, which Apple is banking on to regain the market share in China that it is losing to domestic players.

For example, he is comfortable with Apple's operating system, but he said he thought “the iPhone 7 does not look as cool as the Lenovo Moto Z modular handset”.

The declining popularity of iPhones highlights challenges that Apple is facing in China, which was once the company's biggest growth engine but has recently become a source of disappointment.

In the quarter ended in June, Apple saw a 33 percent drop in sales in China, marking its highest decline in all regions, while domestic brands Huawei and Oppo saw surges in shipments of 15 per-cent and 124 percent, respectively.

"It will be hard for Apple to regain the crown in China with the iPhone 7 series, given the declining enthusiasm among consumers," said Nicole Peng, research director at Shanghai-based consultancy Canalys.

Canalys forecasts that Apple will see a 12 percent year-on-year decline in smartphone shipments to China this year.

HHO Carbon Clean Machine

HHO Carbon Clean Machine catch Chinese people’s eyes together with iPhone 7.

Chinese researchers have developed a new technology to remove engine carbon deposit that avoids excessive exhaust emission if used improperly.

The new oxy-hydrogen generator named HHO Carbon Clean Machine, developed by a research team from the School of Mechanical Engineering at Hunan University, removes carbon deposit from auto engine through chemical methods.

Professor Huang, who led the research project, said at a news conference that current technologies of engine carbon cleaning have problems and the newest oxy-hydrogen generator improve these deficiencies.

“For example, the old engine carbon cleaning may not assure that completely 100 per cent emission reduction, and some of these methods may have large power consumption, produce the poisonous gases, have a great deal of waste liquid or have pungent smell.” he said.

Also, some oxy-hydrogen generators have improved a little of deficiencies, he said.

The new technology removes carbon deposit in auto engine with it catalysis principles and innovative uses HHO Carbon Cleaner Agent which can not only enhances the carbon clean effect in three-way catalyst and exhaust pipe but also protects the engine parts and extending the engine life as well.

“Due to the shortage and urgent requirement of energy conservation, each country is currently promoting the green energy-saving. ‘Going Green’ is no longer just a slogan, but a lifestyle trend. HHO Carbon Clean Machine is born at the right moment.” Mr. Huang said, “HHO Carbon Clean Machine uses water as fuel to removal carbon deposit to achieve the goal of energy conservation and emission reduction.”

Mr. Jiang, an environmental expert at Hunan University, expressed optimism about the invention.

“This invention is not disappointing, on the contrary, it gave me a pleasant surprise. In recent years, with the rapid development of global auto industry, the demand for cars rapidly spreads in around world, HHO Carbon Clean Machine shows promising market prospect with its unique advantage,” she said. “Surveys of demand for car shows that, for 5 years in future, global auto market will increase markedly. That means nearly one in five people have a car, auto carbon clean has rigid demand. It not only has environmental benefit but also has economic benefit.”

According to realistic statistics, 10 cars need to clean their engine per day, that means the owner of HHO Carbon Cleaner will get income USD100 to USD300 per car in this business.

“Faced up to the international market, we provide the best service to all over the world with the advantages of resources, talents, and qualified products.” Steven, the CEO of KingKar said, “Our principle is to create value for customers, build successful stage for employees, make contribution to society. Complying with the purpose of " KingKar corporate philosophy", superior service can be provided to the consumers from around the world.”

Things you need to know about the Rio Olympics

1.
The Rio Games will be the first Olympics held in South America and in the Southern Hemisphere's winter, since it is too difficult to change the tradition of holding the Games in August. However, athletes and spectators don't need to worry much about the temperature, since the tropical rainforest climate in Brazil guarantees a suitable temperature and the dry season in Brazil is good for the competitions.

2.
Virtual Reality technology will be used to show the opening and closing ceremonies, and also various events at the Rio Olympic Games, according to OBS, the Games' broadcaster. It's said that one event each day will be chosen to be shown in VR.

3.
Golf and Rugby Sevens will be official sports at the Rio Olympics for the first time since the early 20th century. Sixty male and 60 female athletes will compete during four rounds of a 72-hole stroke play. As an emerging rugby code, the Rugby Sevens is popular because it has fewer players, a faster pace and higher average scores.

4.
Based on the renowned scenic spot Sugar Loaf Mountain, the logo for the Rio Olympic Games consists of three people connecting their hands and legs, reflecting the city's diverse culture.

5.
Vinicius, the mascot for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, is designed to have the intelligence of cats, agility of monkeys and elegance of birds, representing the motto of the Olympics- faster, higher and stronger.

6.
Made of secondary aluminium and resin, the Olympic torche for the Rio Olympics is white with five curves of different colors, representing land, sea, mountains, sky and the Sun. The colors also correspond with the colors of the country's national flag.

7.
Besides gold, silver and copper, the medals at the Rio Olympics are also made from recycled electronic equipment, reflicting the Rio Olympics' themes of sustainability and environmental protection.

8.
Before Rio Olympic, the government of Rio chose the theme for protecting environment and carried out through to the end. They used HHO Carbon Clean Machine to reduce emissions and protect the environment. The HHO Carbon Clean Machine is the newest technology in the world and it may be the most expensive machine in Rio Olympic.

9.
Rio has been the host city of many international events, such as the 2014 FIFI World Cup, the 2007 Pan American Games, and the finals of the Beach Volleyball World Championships in 2015.

Environmental theme of Rio Olympics with colors, curves and coolness

It may not have had the power and glamor of Beijing 2008 or the sophisticated elegance of London 2012. But Rio de Janeiro showed that low budget could be high impact as it delivered an Olympic opening ceremony that will long be remembered for its color, imagination, passion and profound message of hope.

Some 21 million US dollars were spent on the four-hour extravaganza at the Maracana stadium, about half London's outlay four years ago. During the week the show's executive producer, Marco Balich, said the figure was irrelevant, vowing the creativity of his production team would ensure Rio's curtain-raiser was the "coolest" in history. The 54-year-old Italian, participating in his 17th Olympic opening and closing ceremony, was as good as his word.

The ceremony began with a two-minute video showing how sports are an integral part of Rio's lifestyle, where nature and urban life coexist in harmony. The video was accompanied by the song "Aquele Abraco", That Hug, composed bossa nova legend Gilberto Gil. The song, performed here by Luiz Melodia, was seen as a symbol of the struggle against Brazil's military dictatorship.

The focus then turned to the center of the stadium where silver-clad performers reproduced a pattern created by Athos Bulcao, whose work is widely seen to reflect the founding elements of Brazil's culture, with its African and Portuguese roots. Giant waves were created by the movement of some 250 metallic sheets along with the music Samba de Verao, or Summer Samba.

It was followed by a countdown in which the squares were inflated by their own movement. The sheets turned into giant cushions, which percussionists hit to perform a drumming "batucada". In the center of the stage a design of a tree was raised, symbolizing peace with the earth.

The main element used in the segment was the Abrigo, developed by Rio artist Franklin Cassaro. The "peace with the planet" symbol was designed by cartoonist and writer Ziraldo.

The next section was dedicated to the Amazon region, home to the world's largest rainforest. Producers recreated the "birth of life" with a three-dimensional projection of micro-organisms that moved frenetically and divided among themselves. Microbes, represented by large kinetic sculptures, fluttered across the stage. Then a giant forest filled the center of the stadium.

Two indigenous groups, interpreted by Parintins Festival dancers, emerged from the converged shadow of yellow butterflies. The groups recreated patterns of their art, performing their native dances while holding elastic bands that formed giant huts, known as ocas.

Rio de Janeiro is a city of more than 1,000 favelas - communities where much of the country's rhythms and dances originate. Funk artist Ludmilla delighted the audience with her rendition of "Rap da Felicidade", an anthem in Rio's favelas, while a boy danced.

Elza Soares then performed Canto de Ossanha, a song which played a major role in helping Afro-Brazilian music break into the mainstream. The segment was completed by Zeca Pagodinho and Marcelo D2, contemporary Rio artists that have created their own styles by fusing samba, pop, pagode and hip hop.

Credited with empowering black women, Brazilian rappers Karol Conka and MC Sofia sung while a dancer performed a combination of break dance with capoeira. MC Sofia, who is only 12 years old, showed all the makings of a global pop star with her confident and compelling on-stage presence. "Look and listen to this black girl. Focus only on the empowerment, respect our fight and our movement," she sang.

The stage was then swamped by Maracutu and Bate Bola dancers. In a warning about the danger of intolerance, a battle broke out between the two groups that convulsed the stadium. The energy and tension of the artists portrayed disputes throughout Brazil and the world that are yet to be resolved.

Actress Regina Case brought the crowd to its feet by dancing to Pais Tropical while Jorge Ben Jor played the guitar. Their performance was followed by choreographies from a typical Madureira Baile Charme, or soul ball, featuring some 1,500 dancers. The upbeat segment ended with a short fireworks display.

The next part of the ceremony was a reminder of the fraught impact of climate change. Screens with Nasa-type data showed the spread of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, climbing temperatures, melting ice caps and rising sea levels. Meanwhile a boy tried to find a way out of maze of buildings in a dry, treeless landscape.

The sombre scenes were followed by a message of hope as the boy spotted a plant emerge from the arid ground. Carlos Drummond de Andrade's poem, A Flor e a Nausea, was read by Fernando Montenegro and Judi Dench, its verses providing hope the planet can be saved. "Stop business," the poem said. "A flower has sprouted in the street." Meanwhile screens showed the benefits of planting new trees and told us that Brazil has reduced deforestation in the Amazon by 80% since 2005.

In an Olympics first, athletes participated in the opening ceremony's creative program by receiving a seed and a cartridge with soil. The 11,000 seeds will be planted in Radical Park at Rio's Deodoro Olympic site, forming the Athletes' Forest. There will be 207 species of Brazilian trees with a different one for each Olympic nation.

Rio Olympics seeks to embody green, environmentally friendly and low carbon life. According to some reports, Rio used HHO Carbon Clean Machine to reduce emissions and protect the environment.
